Monday Evening...

Hello All,

Today Devin saw the physical, occupational and speech therapists. They worked on his arm and leg movements and provided Katy with some exercises to do with Devin to strengthen his little muscles. They evaluated his eyes and also started some exercises to increase his ability to use his eyes. The speech therapist attempted to give Devin a bottle and he refused it, they will continue to try to get him to feed from a bottle on a daily basis, in hopes that he will be able to be off the feeding tube.

Devin's original doctors came in to see him today. They hadn't seen him in a week and they are astounded at the progress that he is making. They also think that the shunt will be a necessary procedure and we will continue to keep you notified regarding that surgery.

They are completing another CT scan tonight and we will notify you of the results when we have them.

Katy says Devin has been agitated and grumpy. But, he is teething and they do not have him on any medicine besides children's Tylenol. She thinks he is uncomfortable and since he is unable to communicate those things with her he appears to be frustrated.

Devin is enjoying the sounds and images on the T.V. Ü We are unaware at what he can see or hear, but Katy says that he appears to pay attention to it and has the ability to stay focused in the direction that the T.V is within the room.

Overall a positively busy day and hopeful progress!

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:11-12
