Early morning update!

Good Morning...

The neurosurgeons were up bright and early this morning to visit Devin. They are going to be taking Devin for an MRI of his head and a whole body bone scan. We should have more information on the brain swelling and results once this is completed.

Devin's ICP (inter cranial pressure) are staying low which would suggest that they can remove the brain drain. Although, the hope is to remove the drain today they are stating that it doesn't eliminate the possibility that he will have a long term shunt. If and when they perform the shunt surgery it will be placed in the bone flap of the left side of his skull that was removed during his craniotomy. They will be replacing that bone section with the same bone that he originally had. They have harvested the bone and have been freezing it to keep it preserved. AMAZING!!

May you all enjoy this beautiful day and please continue your prayer warrior efforts for this precious miracle boy!!

  1. Katy...please know how much we all love you and Devin. May the peace of God continue to embrace you as you walk this long journey. A mother's love, as you know, is a unique gift from our creator. We see tiny glimpses of God's love for us as we watch the love and care you give so freely to your precious son.

My heart is overjoyed at the progress that I see each day as I read this blog. God is good...all the time!
