God is GOOD evening!

Hello family and friends,

It is with much happiness that we can share this news with you this evening. Katy was overjoyed to share the news of this update and we could hear smiles over the phone :) She is continuing to be SO strong, keeping positive thoughts and on constant watch over her precious little boy.

Many things have begun to unfold today, doctors started with the MRI which we are still waiting for results (expected later this evening or tomorrow) to determine if they will be able to remove his cervical collar to alleviate the swelling within his body.

Overall the swelling is continuing to go down. Doctors are slowly decreasing Devin's sedation levels and as they continue to drop they are seeing more progress and his body is doing well with the adjustments.

Devin has raised his left arm today, is squeezing Katy's fingers and attempting to grasp at things that are near his left hand. He is showing signs of moving his eyebrows and attempting to open his eyes. Katy said that Devin's lips are starting to look "pink" again, and she feels like she looking at her little boy again!

Doctors have decreased the ventilator respiration's from 21 to 19 and Devin is showing positive signs of breathing by compensating on his own.

Doctors have completed an eye exam which showed some hemorrhaging in the outer eye area but it is already healing. They state that if the brain can recognize this then he should be able to see. Devin looked at Katy right in the eyes and he seemed to show signs of focusing. He is showing signs of responding to Katy's voice and during times when his heartbeat is slightly elevated she is able to talk to him and his heartbeat goes to a normal range.

We are all so grateful for ALL of your prayers and please continue to focus on the strength of our Lord Jesus Christ and His healing powers. We encourage you to continue the warrior prayer efforts and can't thank you enough.
