Surely God's angels camped all around and about Devin, Katy and family during this most difficult time and through His power, His Holy Spirit and our Precious Lord and Savior, Jesus, "all is well". We now offer praises of thanksgiving for Devin's continued and complete recovery as he is reunited with his family and that they, too, will be given the strength to endure the recovery process. In Jesus' Name, Amen Love, from Patricia (aka: Eric's Gram)

  10. I've never met you, Katy, or sweet Devin, but I'm bawling! My husband and I are foster parents, so I know from a different angle the incredible stress and pain of the foster care system. We've been so humbled by our encounters with the good birth parents out there who are doing everything in their power to be reunited with their precious kids. I've been praying fervently for you and your whole family. Praise God for this Christmas miracle!!!

  12. I could write a book in regard to what our family is feeling today! But no words could give this moment true justice. Quite simply we are blessed to be a part of this extraordinary quite ordinary family and continue to learn much from them daily. Today a weight was lifted...our steps were lighter and the smiles were many. It is just glorious and we are so grateful for everyone who has done the right thing. Now our focus must be on Devin's continued healing and recovery. Prayers and more prayers...and love...sooooo much love for you! xo

  13. I'm a friend of Lisa Avne's and have been following your blog since his birthday. I have prayed so earnestly and my heart has truly ached for Katy (as I am a mother of four) and the extreme emotions she was enduring. I continue to pray for baby Devin and for justice and PRAISE GOD for all His provision, comfort, and love. I will think of you all this Christmas -it is sure to be your very best Chrostmas yet. God bless you Katy, Devin, Katy's mom, and friends and family. What a testimony! So happy for you!!! From Shannon in Nevada (shannonchollman@hotmail.com)

  17. I am so happy to hear that Devin was able to go home with his mommy. This is such wonderful news. I am a mom of 2 little ones and my heart goes out to Katy and family for staying so positive and strong. There are no words that can express exactly what Katy must be feeling to finally be able to have and to hold her little precious and blessed little angel in her arms again. I am so tearfully happy for them both. I have no doubts that Devin will continue to progress with his health. He is a very blessed and special little bundle of joy and he deserves to live a happy and healthy life...and he shall. Our family will continue to pray for him. Please continue to update us all with Devin's progress when you can.
    God Bless

  20. Thank you family, friends, classmates and brothers and sisters in Christ. God has given us miracle after miracle in the life of Devin. The dr's said over and over he should have died that first night. Then he will not survive the night we will have to operate or you can let him go. They showed us his MRI and to see the strokes covering all of one side and a third of the other side it did not look like much hope. The dr's said if we operate he could die in surgery or wake up a vegetable. I remember Katy and I saying go for it. The dr's called us all in to the conference room and they looked very grim. if we don't operate he will die if we do he will have a feeding tube (he doesn't) he will be in a wheelchair, he's not, he will have a stool bag (and he doesn't). God has been so good to us and when he knew we were on our last leg he let Devin come home. Maybe one more person needed to be saved, maybe one more person needed to see that their our still miracles today. Now we have him home! First he got a manicure, pedicure and a bath. Then his Christmas p.j.s on. Then his Aunt Lorrie and Uncle Roger came over for their hugs and then Richard, Amanda and Paige so fun to have our two grandchildren together. Then he went out with relatives to see the lights. He has been a perfect angel. Today we saw him cry for the first time in three months. We put him down for his nap and the silent cry started and then a full wail he wanted his mommy. He then fell asleep in her arms watching tv and cuddling! We can't stop kissing him, hugging him, cuddling him, tickling him and smelling him, what a joy we took for granted before this. I could go on and on their are so many great people to thank. That will be next time have to go to bed so I can get up and see Devin! Good night and love, Robin (nannie)

  22. Just have to say that after reading his Nannie's post there is NO doubt that Devin is truly a MIRACLE. He has been saved so that each and everyone of us who have faithfully followed this child's story KNOWS that we hsve been given a remarkable gift to continue to be messengers. Whether we hsve learned to love our Lord and our families just that much more, or have found that we need to go forth and dedicate ourselves to a personally passionate cause, we have been given a truly remarkable gift. Only we can make the right choices and follow through. Thank you precious Adams family for allowing us to be a part of your blessed world. I promise this family will not disappoint...xo

Today is our family Christmas with Richard, Amanda & baby Paige. Greatgrandma Gigi is coming over with Aunt Kim. Aunt Lorrie, Roger and some of their family too. Again we thank all of you for your petitions to God to bring him home! Have a Blessed New Year

  25. What a wonderful gift for Devin and all who love him! In all of this everyone must always consider this child before all else. He is the one who continues to need the love and support and prayers of family and friends. In that I am sure we all agree. Welcome home sweet boy! We are blessed to have you in our lives.
