He's home!!

Hi friends, family and loved ones!!

Devin is home! Doctors were able to drain the fluid one more time and sent Devin home to rest and recover. He will go back on Friday for a check up, so PLEASE pray that the fluid continues to resolve itself and stays drained so he will not have to have a shunt!

Thank you and we are always so grateful for your loving support and constant prayers!

Much love,

  3. Katy took Devin back in on Friday and they said he looked great! Can't wait till he can start his Physical Therapy. The staff at Loma Linda have all fallen in love with him. He tried to kiss the Dr. he is very into kissing right now. Thank you Marcia Pine for bringing cupcakes for his 16 month birthday, how thoughtful of you to think of his anniversary! Also for John & Kaity Mullins for bringing dinner two nights in a row, wow such good food! And Candy Hensley for bringing him the darling shoes and bed buddy. We all enjoy that so comfy. Such good friends and family we have and all the prayer warriors too. Everyone has asked what our family needs right now and I would say prayer. Devin = healing, Katy=health, Richard=strength for each day. We need prayer to take one day at a time because each day brings it's challenges. So many disturbing calls and visits about the case. We just want to be a normal family again but we know that will take a year or so, or what is normal in this world? God wants us not to ride a roller coaster but to walk hand in hand with him along the smooth sand each day.

  4. I just have to say that for anyone following this blog and have never met this extraordinary family, I believe you know them well by now! YOU ARE a part of this family! Devin's Nannie's last post continues to show us all how much faith and hope and courage plays such a vital part in all of our lives. She is the truest, most honest person you will ever meet! This family has always quite literally given all of themselves to others...They have been challenged continuously and have never stopped to ask..."What about US"? DEVIN was born into this family for reasons more powerful than we may ever know. BUT...if we know anything, it is to find purpose in our own lives, and be ever truthful and faithful in the time we are given here on Earth. Nana loves you, adores you and will continue to find justice for all of the voices who have no choices. Hand in Hand along the smooth sand 4ever... xo
